Live performance promoter AEG Presents has promoted Wealthy Schaefer to the function of President, World Touring.
Schaefer will oversee all points of the live performance promotion firm’s worldwide touring offers, operations, and expertise relations, and can report back to Jay Marciano, Chairman and CEO of AEG Presents and COO of AEG.
The exec may also be becoming a member of the corporate’s Govt Committee along side his promotion.
Schaefer beforehand held the title of Senior Vice President, World Touring.
AEG’s World Touring division was launched in 2018. Schaefer joined AEG Presents in 2018 to assist construct and develop the newly created division.
Schaefer succeeds Gary Gersh, the corporate’s former President of World Touring at AEG Presents, who announced final month that he can be leaving the corporate after eight years.
Gersh led the World Touring division since 2018.
AEG Presents says that Schaefer has performed a key function in a lot of its touring partnerships, having helped signal and promote artists resembling Kane Brown, Kacey Musgraves, Zach Bryan, Leon Bridges, Carin Leon, Hugh Jackman, Tame Impala, and Maggie Rogers, amongst others.
